Who we are

Just Moving It is a man-and-van, removals and waste-clearance business based in Luton, serving Luton, Harpenden and the wider Bedfordshire area. For any questions about your data, contact us at info@justmovingit.co.uk. We are the "data controller" for the information you give us.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us when you request a quote or book a job:

• your name;
• your phone number and/or email address;
• collection and delivery addresses or postcodes;
• details of the job (what's being moved or cleared).

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this website.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange and carry out your job. Our lawful bases are taking steps to enter into a contract with you (your quote/booking) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the business. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.

Waste clearance records

If we carry out a waste clearance, the law requires us to complete a waste transfer note recording details such as the collection address and the type of waste. We are legally required to keep these records for two years.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. We only share information where it is necessary to carry out the job or where the law requires it — for example, waste disposal records provided to a licensed waste facility, the council or the Environment Agency.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job information only as long as we need it — enquiry details for a reasonable period to follow up, and job and waste records for as long as the law requires (waste transfer notes for two years). After that we delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@justmovingit.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
